Public Transport by Suroboyo Bus

What's up, guys? How are you this week? Everything is okay? I hope everything is okay for you, guys. :)

You know, I got a problem last Saturday. I always going to Gresik every weekend by motorcycle. I have family in Gresik, my mom, my sister and her family, and my brother and his family. So, I always meet them every weekend. I live in Surabaya, I rent a room in the house because I work in Surabaya. And last Saturday  I got a problem with my motorcycle on the way. Lucky, I was felt aware when I got not right in my bike, and then I have stepped aside from the road. I tried to turn on my motorcycle, it didn't work, oh men I was afraid if I didn't find the service place. But Alhamdulillah I have seen the service place very near to I got a problem with my bike. I serviced my bike in there, they could fix my bike. After that, I must full maintained my bike in Gresik service place. That needs one week or more to check my motorcycle until really fix. So, I must use public transportation to come back to Surabaya on Sunday. 

On Sunday, I was going to Surabaya from Gresik by bus. I went at 11.30 a.m from Bunder, Gresik. I arrived at the bus station at 12.00 a.m. Then, I was going to my rent room with public transport in Surabaya. Surabaya has public transportation by bus. It calls "Suroboyo Bus".

I used Suroboyo Bus because I have a card to use this bus. If you want to use it, you need to have the card for payment. It doesn't need money for payment, it just needs the card or used plastic bottle for payment. How to get the card? How the rule to bring the used plastic bottle? Okay, I will tell you guys.

To get the card Suroboyo bus with one sticker in there, we need 3 big used plastic bottle with size 1.5L, 5 of used medium plastic bottle with size 600ml, 10 of a used small plastic bottle, and  10 of a used small glass cup. If you have one of the bottle plastic, you can exchange with the card and get one sticker. We can find an exchange place near we live. Or you can bring their plastic bottle when you want to use Suroboyo bus, you can exchange them on the bus, you will get one ticket. Below is a picture from the deposit card from me. When you use a deposit card you can show to the helper on the bus, they will pierce your deposit card, and then you will get one ticket for once to use the bus.

Ticket Suroboyo bus has expired, it will be terminated until two hours. You can see the name of stopping place, date, bus code, name of the helper and etc. Suroboyo operation starts from 06.00 a.m until 10.00 p.m.

The Suroboyo bus has 67 seats, 1 helper, and 1 drive. The Suroboyo bus has passenger seats for women with pink colour. Red colour seats for priority passengers and orange colour for public passengers. I got to find the man want to sit down on red colour, the helper ban him from moving and sit down on the orange seats. On the bus had CCTV, medical box, charger place and fire extinguisher gas. When we want to get off the bus, we can push the button, stop to give information to the driver stop.

The Suroboyo Bus have application for tracking bus on the maps, and we can know about microlite, city bus and tourist attraction in other menus. We can understand the routes in 3 areas. The first area is Purabaya Bus Station - Rajawali Halte, Second UNESA Halte - ITS Halte, and last Kenjeran Halte - Gunung Anyar Halte. In every area have connecting Halte for change bus. I live in Merr Street, So I am in area Kenjeran - Gunung Anyar. I was waiting in Sentra UKM Merr and ride the bus until ITS Halte, and then I get off to waiting for the bus to go to UNESA Halte. I did try Suroboyo Bus in 3 areas. I was waiting for the bus in Sentra UKM Merr to ride. I got off in ITS Halte to change another bus. In there, I use the bus with route ITS Halte - UNESA Halte. I got off again in Pangsud Halte to use bus route Rajawali - Purabaya Bus Station. Because I want to go to Surabaya Bus Station. In this condition, I just use one ticket from one sticker.

And I am finished to tell you about Suroboyo Bus in Surabaya city guys. I hope you can holiday in Surabaya and try this bus to around Surabaya city with a free bus like Suroboyo Bus. You only bring used bottle plastic to pay or one sticker to one passenger.
